Thief in the Night

Our Father in heaven brought us into this earthly world, His kingdom, and our time here is temporary. In the blink of an eye, our bodily existence will be stolen away. Without notice, it will come. Quietly, like a thief in the night carrying away plunder.

Our time is finite and contrasting, yet it is recorded identically for all to see in the form of a singular dash carved into one’s stone. An indelible mark inscribed between two dates that cannot be erased.

Rejoice, death is not the end. It’s a passage, the bridge to a better world. However, the crossing requires the toll of repentance. Through His love, grace, and forgiveness, and our honest atonement for our sins. An earnest offering to the heavenly gatekeeper shall be made for life to come.

This time on earth and thereafter are worthy gifts that should be coveted and earnestly fought for. Therefore, make haste, embrace the journey, and admire the path now on.

Amen
