The more my eyes are open to mankind’s fury, the heavier my heart becomes.
The more I’m awakened to this world’s brutality, the more my gut aches.
The more I’m blinded by the sins of wayward men, the more my soul becomes shuttered in darkness.
The more wickedness is accepted by the masses, the more my chest swells with sadness.
The more the meek of the earth are terrorized, the more my throat is choked with anger.
The more our Father and His covenants are ignored, the more our state of siege becomes hardened.
Thankfully, the more we surrender our hearts and souls to you, O Lord, the more we can rise above the temptations and tribulations that pull us down.
For you, Father, are the light that pierces the siege. Your love and mercy have no bounds.
